Buying a plasma flat screen TV

There are two main options when it comes to the best picture quality while also saving space: plasma and LCD (liquid crystal display) flat panel TVs. Today’s technology, allowing for the broadcast of high definition digital images, makes plasma and LCD flat screen televisions viable options for enjoying the best viewing experience.

Plasma models are also cheaper than LCDs, though that gap is closing.

The amazing pictures produced on a plasma TV are the result of thousands of cells, which are actually individual glass containers injected with neon-xenon gases suspended in plasma. When an electric current strikes the gases, the red, green and blue phosphors light up in various shades, producing the picture.

As far as that display goes, plasma TVs have a decided advantage over LCD TVs, especially if viewing from side angles. As the viewer moves further off center from the screen, more variations in the LCD picture can occur.

Plasmas are able to better reproduce true black, which is especially helpful while watching TV in a normal or dimly lit room. Plasma TVs also are preferable for watching quickly moving scenes, such as sporting events. A flat panel screen of between 42 inches and 50 inches will only take up about three or four inches in depth, and can even be hung on walls.

Wireless Home Theater Systems

Executive Summary About Wireless Home Theater Systems By Marcus Peterson

Wireless home theater system components can help to you to clear that jungle. The cable connections for many systems are wrongly configured, leading to sub-optimal sound or even damage to system components.

In addition, wiring speakers is an extremely complex job that often requires the snaking of wires within walls and ceilings to hide ugly speaker cables. In wireless home theater systems, a receiver is incorporated which transmits the sound signals to remote speaker units. Earlier, wireless home theater systems speakers suffered because of either battery life or interference. Battery life refers to the remote battery-powered units that received the sound signals from the wireless amplifier.

Battery life problems have been taken care of by new technologies which either extend battery life or provide remote speaker units to be powered by connection to power outlets providing unlimited stable power. One wireless home theater system package that includes capability for remote rear speakers is the Philips LX3750W Home Theater in a Box Sound System. The front and front-center channel speakers are linked by speaker cables with the two left and right rear speakers.

Wireless Home Theater Systems – How to Get the Best Sound For Your Budget

Executive Summary About Wireless Home Theater Systems By Simon H.

Wireless Home Theater Systems have come a long way in the last few years. Thankfully, wireless technologies have improved to a point where the difference in sound quality is negligible to most ears. This has seen more and more manufacturers beginning to include wireless surround sound speakers as a part of their home-theater-in-a-box systems.

With a wireless home theater system, the amount of time required to set-up your  system is drastically reduced. The wireless speakers in a wireless surround sound system are almost always the rear surround speakers. The first step in buying your system is to establish a budget. Some home theater systems will cost you as little as $200, but at that price you are sacrificing quite a lot in the sound quality department. A realistic budget for a decent quality home theater system would be $400-4,000, depending on what kind of set-up you are looking for.

Once you have a budget, you need to make a decision: will you buy an all-in-one system (a home theater in a box) or buy your home theater components separately. Try searching on Google for “home theater review” as a starting point. Make sure you read both professional reviews and reviews by customers who have bought the system.

Once you have one or two systems in mind, the next step is to head to your local electronics retailer or home theater store. These will usually have sound rooms that are set-up with several different systems. Home theater is a very subjective experience. After you have made your decision, it is finally time to spend some hard-earned cash and buy your home theater system. A good return policy is very important for wireless home theater systems. Also, the wireless transmission of some systems can affect your wireless internet, or be interrupted by microwaves. If you want to get the best home theater system for your budget, you need to be prepared for a little hard work.
