Buying a new laptop can be a difficult business, especially if you’re not real smart with all the jargon of technology manufacturers, and retailers, love to throw at you. However, it is possible to bypass all the confusion and financial heartache and buy a new laptop that is relatively inexpensive.

The first step in buying a laptop is to know why you want and what you want to use it for. So, it is important to know whether you want a laptop for use only at home, to work or purpose of the company, or one that is portable and travels well. If you are in a position to do so, may also be worth paying a bit extra if you want a laptop for prolonged use, if not, you may find you have to buy a newer model sooner than expected and could berakhir cost you more in the long term.

If upgradeability is important to you and you do not really need the portability of the new laptops cheaper, then maybe the PC would be a better investment. It’s also something to think about before buying.

Points to consider before buying, is the level of battery life. If you intend to use your laptop, especially when it is plugged into a wall outlet, then this is not critical, but if you need a portable laptop to take the road, or to study at school or college, then a laptop with long battery required to maintain.
